KUSTOM PAINT ROAD TRIP: JAPAN/2005 AUTO SALON
The third trip to Japan as a painting team, and the tenth trip for Craig Fraser as an instructor: Dion, and Craig of Kal Koncepts/Air Syndicate hooked up with the boyz at Signal/Showup, and Nippon Paint to kustom up a couple of tricked out drift cars, and to start a kustom paint relationship that will bridge the 2 countrys. Keep an eye out for the new level of kustom paint involvement in not only street racing, but time trial, road racing, and most important the hotest new sport out there,...D1,...I'm talking "DRIFT!!" Dion, and

The 79 Celica that we
tricked out for the Maziora/House of Kolor booth at the AutoSalon
looked like a mini-mach 1. All of the graphics, and underpainting
were to be buried in the end by 6 coats of teal kandy.
After laying a sunset/sunrise
pearl base on the 2005 Skyline, Dion is laying out, and masking
the flames for the Pale Gold diamond application. Just like the
Celica, then Drift/Show car was to be fully kandied in the end,
only with Tangerine

in the booth with the Skyline. Both of the show cars were graphic'd,
kandied, airbrushed, pinstriped, and cleared within 6 days. Reality
shows have to give us 2 cars to fill our spare time in a week,...heheheh.
Even thought the locals
helped a lot in masking, and prepping, Dion insisted on being the
only one to color sand the Kandy before the final pinstriping, and
clearing
